Qualification Engineer

Join a dynamic team at the heart of our business! Qualifications Engineers interact with all parts of the organization, learning business processes, strategies, and high standards important to our business. Experiences learned here will ready the applicant for a broad selection of roles beyond this team, including management opportunities.

  • Initiate, develop, and execute product qualifications in support of raw material or finished goods changes for aerospace materials
  • Lead and support qualifications of emerging and/or existing products in support of new business opportunities
  • Interpret and recommend qualification strategies in compliance with corporate standards
  • Develop close interactive collaborative relationships with manufacturing, quality, customer engineering, and account managers
  • Foster relationships with suppliers and customers to ensure clear communications facilitate effective and efficient requalification projects
  • Follow management of change procedures in close coordination with site and global quality organizations

Education and Experience

  • BS Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical/Materials Engineering, minimum
  • Recent graduates welcome, experience in the Composites industry a plus

Skills and behavioral competencies

  • Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must set high quality standards and have a strong sense of urgency (action oriented)
  • Ability to create and lead cross functional teams engaging internal and external customers
  • Takes initiative in solving complex technical and process problems
  • Good organization skills, ability to learn and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to display and develop project management skills
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of the composite industry, including resin families, fibers
  • Problem solving, technical presentations, relationship building and technical conflict resolution
  • Basic understanding of analytical, physical, and mechanical test methods
  • Basic understanding of statistical analysis

Language skills

Must be proficient in English

Additional Information

Selected candidates will be asked to begin in this role within a few weeks of decision to hire. Travel is occasionally required. Candidate must be a Green Card Holder or a US Citizen.

You will get:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $78,800 to $85,000.00 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
  • 16, or more, weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations
  • Training platform for all employees
  • Free well-being sessions (physical and psychological)
