We are looking for: Maintenance Technician/Millright to be responsible for repairing and maintaining plant equipment.

Shift: Monday-Friday 8 hour days 6:30AM to 3:00PM 

 

We are count on you to:

  • Attend daily meetings to discuss and receive priority and routine work orders to remove, repair, and install machinery and equipment in the field

  • Perform preventative maintenance on site equipment

  • Communicate with operations personnel to ensure worksites have been prepared, and to avoid activity conflicts with other workers

  • Follow lockout-tagout procedures, and check for documentation of entry permit and that lines are closed and locked

  • Dismantle failed equipment (such as motors, and pumps) using hand and power tools to locate failures, and transfer equipment to the maintenance shop via the appropriate device (hoist, lift truck, dolly or rollers) as needed

  • Assess failed equipment, order replacement parts using SAP computer program, and repair/ reassemble the equipment with the new parts.

  • Re-install machinery after prepping the support surface. Securely fasten the machinery to the foundation in the most appropriate way. Use Never Seize to lubricate bolts.

  • Align machine and equipment, using micrometers, plump bobs and laser equipment. Perform checks for leaks and ensure equipment is operating efficiently.

  • Communicate status of repairs to keep maintenance schedule lists up to date

  • Communicate any additional findings found during maintenance or inspections, and the urgency of the repair needed to assist in determining when the planned maintenance will least interfere with unit operations

  • Order replacement parts for failed equipment and routine maintenance as necessary, using SAP software to check cost and storeroom availability, and contact outside vendors for parts not in stock

  • Assist in research and development projects to upgrade operations, and to assist in installing and monitoring new equipment

  • Assist with the regulatory compliance of devices and systems pertaining to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ), Radiation Licensing, the National Electric Council (NEC), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and ISO 9001 programs

  • Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated specific plant location or per required job task specification

You will bring:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • 5 + years as Journeyman Millwright

  • 1 year certificate (Millwright, Machinist, or related) from a college or  technical school

  • Able to pass a respiratory fit test

OR

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Must have (TWIC) Transportation Worker Identification Credentials

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $46.50-$47.90/hour. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
