“The FFF program offered invaluable technical and professional growth opportunities. Early exposure to several different chemical processes early in my career was beneficial long term. While gaining more experience and independence, each rotation also helped me adapt to new ways of working. Sharing knowledge and tools between sites, despite different processes, was incredibly useful and ultimately helped me discover my own strengths- pulling together people from different perspectives to solve problems and achieve new milestones. Now as a Pilot Plant Manager, I leverage these experiences of bridging different functions and perspectives to solve scientific challenges and meet business goals. The program expanded my professional network, allowed me to stay curious and explore career interests, and ultimately helped me clarify my interests and career ambitions long after the rotational program.”

“The Foundations for the Future Program provided me with a wide range of opportunities that allowed me to develop my skills. I started this program as a Reliability Engineer in Borger, TX where I created the mechanical integrity program for the utility system and led process improvement projects.  My 2nd rotation occurred in Pasadena, TX as a process engineer. I led the Overall Equipment Effectiveness(OEE) program where we identified factors that contributed to lost time and developed plans to mitigate the issues. Lastly, my final rotation was located at the Pilot Plant in Alpharetta, GA. This position allowed me the chance to gain management experience and develop skills in procurement, maintenance, and product development. I've now mainstreamed into the Production Superintendent role in Pasadena, TX. The FFF program has been essential to my development which I've utilized since mainstreaming into my new role, in addition to, networking with amazing people throughout Syensqo.”

“Participating in the Foundations for the Future rotational engineering program was a transformative experience for me. Over the course of the program, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in various process and production engineering roles, each of which contributed to my professional and personal growth. I had a role as a Production Engineer in Hammond, Indiana and a role as a Process Engineer in the Silica business in Chicago Heights, Illinois. These roles gave me the opportunity to mainstream into a Production Superintendent role and helped forge my path to becoming a Plant Manager. One of the most valuable aspects of the program was the chance to develop and refine my
technical skills. I gained hands-on experience with process optimization, quality control, and production efficiency. I learned to apply engineering principles to real-world challenges, which not only enhanced my problem-solving abilities but also deepened my understanding of how different components of production come together to achieve operational excellence.
Overall, the Foundations for the Future program was an incredible journey of growth. I emerged with a robust technical skill set and a deep appreciation for the power of collaboration and effective communication. I am grateful for the experiences and insights gained.”
