We are looking for:
A qualified quality technician for our Augusta GA facility

We count on you for:

  • To perform an extensive variety of laboratory procedures utilizing physical, wet-chemical, and instrumental techniques. Specifically, this includes the following:
  • Analyze routine and non-routine (special request) samples and references, using approved and in process design methods, under minimal supervision.
  • Record raw data and final results into logbooks, or computer
  • Maintain laboratory and associated equipment in a safe and clean condition.
  • Must be able to follow SOPs and work instructions, scheduling and testing requirements
  • Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment and perform simple maintenance.
  • Insure reliability of test results through the running and analysis of Standards/References and Statistical Process Controls.
  • Procedure review
  • Participation in Gage R&Rs
  • Report non-conformances
  • Ensure calibrations of measurement and test equipment
  • Train others in quality processes and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Lab inventory management
  • SAP inventory lot dispositioning

You will bring:

  • Degree in Chemistry required
  • 5+ years of QC lab experience
  • Knowledge of modern lab instrumentation and Statistical Process Control.
  • Must meet minimum assessment levels as defined in the Work Keys position description.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel are essential.
  • Candidate required to work a rotating day/night 12-hour shift schedule.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime.
  • Must be willing to be flexible to changing work priorities and tasks.
  • High level of mechanical aptitude.

HSE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Perform required safety audits per the Augusta Plant planning.
  • Attend plant-wide safety/wellness sessions.
  • Review/perform required safety audits, JSA’s and What-if scenarios.
  • Complete all required CBTs on time.
  • Participate in PSM, PHA, and PSSR field reviews, as well as Follow-Up Incident investigations as needed.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all plant environmental standards, ES-01 through ES-10.
  • Know the environmental permit limits for your assigned plant (air, waste water, storm water).
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the Hazardous Waste Rules (RCRA) to include storage, handling, sampling, transporting, manifesting, record keeping, and emergency response.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the facility environmental plans (SPCC, Storm Water Pollution Prevention).

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is ($25 to $26 per hour). Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
