Our aircraft materials are delivering the performance and manufacturing requirements of aerospace and defense customers around the world. The Rock Hill, SC carbon fiber site is recruiting for a Site Technical Manager to be a part of the Syensqo team in the production of carbon fiber.

About the role

  • Our Technical and Maintenance team, composed of up to10 people, is integrated in the Production department and focuses on ensuring effective operations of the plant's manufacturing process, including technical direction, maintenance management, and capital project development and implementation in collaboration with production, site personnel, contract management, , accounting and purchasing.
  • As a Site Technical Manager, you will work on process optimization, maintenance management, and capital project execution to support the efficient and safe operation of the 150,000-ton-per-year sodium bicarbonate facility. You will get the opportunity to contribute to process improvements, cost reduction, and safety enhancements and have a positive impact on plant productivity and regulatory compliance.
  • You will be accountable for:
    • Providing technical directions to the manufacturing department.
    • Managing the maintenance function at the facility, including corrective, preventive, and predictive programs.
    • Overseeing capital projects, including cost estimation and project management.
    • Ensuring compliance with regulatory, statutory, customer, quality, and food safety requirements.
    • Troubleshooting and resolving process problems and providing technical training to manufacturing personnel.
  • We offer a permanent contract based on onsite working mode.

About you

  • University Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (Mechanical preferred).
  • Relevant work experience of 5 to 10 years in processing plant engineering and maintenance.
  • Competencies:
    • Process optimization and troubleshooting.
    • Maintenance and capital project management (SAP-PM preferred).
    • Regulatory compliance and safety management.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Behaviors:

About the pay and benefits

  • Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the U.S. base pay reasonably expected for this role is $108,000 to $135,000, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
