We are looking for:

A Human Resources Generalist to assist in the management of the daily operations related to human resources activities at the Winona, MN site.

We can count on you to:

HR Activities and Support

  • Submit Merit Increases and Payroll Increases for Hourly Employees

  • Act as HR support for STLs and PUMs

  • Communicate MetLife information as received; follow up on Metlife claim status

  • Administer the Fitness and Referral programs

  • Act as Benefit enrollment, education, and contact support for site employees

  • Perform HR customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.

  • Maintains the Random Drug Testing List

  • Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.

  • Responsible for record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.

  • Maintains discipline files (electronic and paper)

  • Responsible for the maintenance of the Google Manpower document

  • Maintain Winona Site Org Charts

  • File PCRs and payroll changes via tickets as needed.

  • Update site communication boards

  • Maintains site posting boards

  • Pay and Track Donations

  • Files documents into appropriate employee files.

  • Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.

New Employee Orientation

  • Act as primary contact for new employees. Communicate onboarding and first day requirements

  • Develop new employee orientation schedule and folders

  • Conduct new employee HR orientation and support

  • Follow up on background checks and on-line training

  • Complete Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.

  • Prepares new-employee files (electronic and/or paper).

Recognition and Employee Engagement

  • Act as the Employee Engagement Team Lead

  • Support Employee Engagement activities

  • Administer the A&R, Employee Store and SolStar programs

  • Coordinate and order recognition flowers, cakes, meals, etc.

Other

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

You will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.

  • Experience in a manufacturing setting and/or union experience preferred.

  • 3-5 years of related experience.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.

  • Excellent organizational and presentation skills.

  • Strong computer experience in Power Point, Excel, and Word.

  • Must be able to multi-task and have strong problem solving skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

You will get:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $75,000 - 95,000/annually. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
