Safety Data Sheet Specialist
Location: Lisbon - Campolide - Portugal
We are looking for:
Within the Hazard Communication team, you will be in charge of the authoring of Safety Data Sheets and the labels for the products commercialized by Syensqo, on a worldwide basis. Your main goal is to deliver compliant documents. Your missions and activities will be:
• Create and update local SDSs and labels following the guidances, for all requested new versions and updates;
• Maintain the consistency with the SDS of reference, based on United Nations recommendations;
• Conduct hazard (health, physical, and environmental) and regulatory assessments; Assess the impact of changes in the SDSs and add information about changes in the document;
• Check the content of the documents created prior to their release;
• Build and maintain expertise in Country/Local SDS regulations and in SAP-EHS tool;
• Contribute to the SDS revision cycle;
• Manage SDS distribution errors;
• Communicate with the business and other relevant functions in order to do the task;
• When needed, create and release tremcards in agreement with the requester;
• Contribute to improve the process, documents, projects and the business continuity;
You will work in close collaboration with Syensqo GBUs (Global Business Units), SDS experts and local experts, in order to ensure and improve the quality of the Country/local SDSs.
We count on you for:
• Follows guidelines, procedures and processes, namely for the management of confidential names, locals parts, REAL_GROUP and GBU specificities;
• Manage the requests received within the agreed deadline;
• Answer the questions of the GBU about SDS or labels;
• Work in collaboration with the SDS Authoring team, EHS, SM, SDS Expert and the Product Stewards;
• The managing of projects (support and/or deliver what is needed to fulfill the goal of the project in time).

• A deeper knowledge of SDS and label Authoring and the legal requirements applicable;
• Experience in EHS module (SAP) and analyzing data;
• The knowledge that his/her work is contributing to improve the knowledge on the chemical products (their hazards, preventive measures, …) and therefore to improve the safety for the people and the environment in the word;

You will bring:
- Education and experience:
Education:
• Bachelor or Master's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical or Environment.
Experience:
• Experience in using and analyzing SDS and labels;
• Experience in authoring SDS will be a plus;
• Experience in regulatory affairs.
- Skills and languages:
Languages:
• Fluent in English.
Skills:
• Excellent computer skills, ability to use MS Office suite, particularly Excel, and SAP;
• Experience with the EHS module in SAP will be a plus;
