We are looking for:

Act as GBU Maintenance and Reliability Excellence Engineer for Winona and Kalamazoo Sites, with possible spot support needed in any other CM Sites in the USA. Participate in the definition and deployment of Best Practices, associated with Maintenance and Reliability Excellence such as Work Order Management, Store room optimal operation, proactive reliability and Bad Actors Improvement. This position will be responsible for consolidating maintenance routine practices, improving Equipment Reliability, tracking Sites M&R Metrics and coordinating action plans aimed to improve and sustain this process at sites under their responsibility.

 

We count on you for:

  • Consolidate Routine Maintenance (Work Order Management Process)
    • Be the Change Agent at the site(s) on Work Order Management process consolidation.
    • Provide training and coaching to all stakeholders of this process on all the steps of the WOM, such as: notification creation, work prioritization and gatekeeping, work planning and scheduling, work execution first-time right through Precision Maintenance practices and continuous improvement.
    • Check the quality of the information entered in the SAP system and support its improvement by providing continuous coaching.
    • Track and monitor KPIs related to maintenance and reliability and help the sites improve them.
    • Perform Wrench Time Analysis and support the sites in adding opportunities from the report to their TIP.
    • Perform Maturity Process Assessment for SyMax processes and support sites to close their gaps identified in the TIP.
  • Implement Proactive Reliability Process
    • Create and modify Site’s Asset Register (Functional Location and Equipment)
    • Perform Equipment Criticality Evaluation
    • Perform FMEA, FMECA, etc. to optimize Asset Strategy
    • Perform PM Optimization to ensure critical Equipment have proper PMs and non-critical equipment are running to failure (when possible)
    • Standardize PMs across the board for similar Assets on similar criticalities to ensure consistency and dissemination of right strategies
    • Evaluate Critical Spares
    • Develop Equipment BOM from Critical Spares identified
    • Capture and disseminate best practices among sites
    • Update and revise the frequencies of maintenance plans based on changes in indicators
    • Implement Predictive Maintenance Program tailored to the site’s equipment features
    • Support Operation with Autonomous Maintenance (Operator Care) Program implementation
  • Improve Reactive Reliability Process
    • Report, Analyze and Support Sites to improve OEE, SAP Maintenance Costs and other related Bad Actors caused by Losses from Maintenance and Reliability
    • Track Maintenance Losses on OEE and build Bad Actors List
    • Provide Action Plan to Analyze and Improve Bad Actors
    • Analyze maintenance costs to identify improvements.
    • Implement, train and coach sites on Failure Analysis Tools/ processes.
    • Develop triggers and a system to treat Failure Analysis based on Bad Actors Charts
    • Establish a governance to follow Failure Analysis status and track their actions as well as verify their effectiveness.
  • Manage Contractors for Composite Materials Global initiatives
    • Manage contracted out work for Reliability Improvement, WOM management, Storeroom improvement and condition monitoring implementation to ensure cost and due dates are in compliance with expectations.
  • Improve Storesroom management
    • Ensure MRO inventory is identified, quantified and optimized on the sites.
  • Asset Life Cycle management
    • Optimize Asset Life and Sustainability
    • Track the life cycle cost of assets
  • M&R Capex
    • Support sites determine their 5-year M&R Capex Budget.

You will bring:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or related Engineering Discipline
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) preferred, CRL or other relevant reliability certification a plus.
  • Experience in SAP ECC is a must.
  • Experience in Equipment Criticality Evaluation, FMEA, PMs creation and Critical Spares Evaluation is a must.
  • Should possess a minimum of 5 yrs of experience in manufacturing environment
  • Compliance with HSE requirements and regulations and group policies
  • Experience with Predictive Tools/ Program implementation is a must.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills are necessary to interact with both the technical and operations teams at the site.
  • Must be highly effective in a cross functional environment with the ability to effectively lead cross functional teams that deliver results.
  • Record of continuous improvement within a demanding, top-tier quality and safety, health and environmental culture.
  • Good technical knowledge of industrial equipment regarding best practices (vibration, lubrication, alignment, etc.) and precision maintenance techniques.

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $108,000 to $135,000 per year  Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
