We are looking for: 

A Tech Lead is a senior member of the team with combined technical architectural and managerial skills. Primarily responsible for designing, implementing and optimizing scalable, resilient cloud infrastructure. As a Tech Lead, you must be conversant with technical as well as architecture best practices. Core competency in AWS/Azure/GCP architecture and Terraform CI/CD pipelines is essential, with strong understanding of cloud architecture including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS.

Design and implement secure, scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure using AWS/Azure services, based on business and technical requirements

  • Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud-related issues

  • Experience in performance tuning and optimization of cloud services

  • Ability to design and implement secure cloud environments

  • Experience in cost optimization and efficiency improvements in cloud operations

  • Innovative mindset to explore and implement new cloud technologies and solutions

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure architecture, configuration and troubleshooting steps and share knowledge with team members

  • Be the technical referent to a team of Cloud Engineers

  • Close collaboration with various stakeholders across the IT organization to ensure cloud governance is well applied

  • Keep up-to-date with new AWS/Azure services, features and best practices, providing recommendations for process and architecture improvements

Education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications would be a plus.

  • Minimum of 7-15 years of experience in cloud engineering, cloud architecture or infrastructure role

  • Proven experience with multi-cloud environments and services

  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools

  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash or PowerShell for automation tasks

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (eg: Gitlab CI/CD, Jenkins) and experience integrating them with AWS/Azure/GCP

  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals and experience with AWS/Azure VPC, security groups, VPN and routing

  • Proficiency in monitoring and logging tools such as native cloud tools or third-party tools

  • Cybersecurity Expertise:

    • Understanding of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and frameworks.

    • Knowledge of encryption, identity management, access controls, and other security measures within cloud environments.

  • Preferably with certifications such as AWS/Azure/GCP Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified SysOps Administrator, Certified Solutions Architect
