Anticipating upcoming microplastics and biodegradability regulation
Miracare® Biopacify enables formulators to seamlessly adapt to European regulation on microplastics set to be enforced by October 2028. Amidst growing environmental concerns, microplastics have come under scrutiny in recent years due to their persistence in the ecosystem. Upcoming regulations will ban the use of microplastic-containing detergent in 2028 in Europe, leading to the phase-out of mainstream opacifiers in liquid laundry and pouches. Miracare Biopacify is intended to replace current opacifiers with a biodegradable and natural alternative compliant with emerging regulations.
