As in previous years, Syensqo is partnering with Hello Tomorrow on the "Industrial Biotech and New Materials" track of the Global Challenge, a competition featuring several tracks that showcase startups with transformative solutions in key areas. The 7 finalists for the 2026 edition, jointly selected by a dedicated committee composed of Syensqo representatives and Hello Tomorrow experts, are:
- C16 Biosciences – developing sustainable alternatives to conventional vegetable oils through biotechnology.
- Enzidia – advancing next-generation enzyme engineering to accelerate industrial biosolutions.
- Fermelanta – producing high-value plant-inspired compounds through precision fermentation.
- Magmatic Bio – innovating cleaner approaches for the extraction and refinement of critical materials.
- Microciclo Biotecnologia – using biological solutions to improve industrial wastewater treatment.
- Mothership Materials – transforming agricultural byproducts into competitive industrial feedstocks.
- Westra Materials – creating safer, high-performance conductive materials for energy applications.
The selected startups will present their solutions to a jury, including a Syensqo innovation expert, during the upcoming Hello Tomorrow Global Summit.
The top 10 startups will receive tailored coaching sessions and introductions to potential investors, clients, and partners. Among these, the top three winners will earn equity-free cash prizes, further accelerating their journeys toward impactful innovation.
