Kerstin Artenberg is Syensqo’s Chief People Officer and a member of the Executive Leadership Team. She has held this position since March 1, 2026.
Kerstin has more than two decades of international experience working across human resources, communications and organizational development. She is a highly respected Human Resources executive, recognized for her ability to lead complex transformations and drive sustained performance in global industrial organizations.
From 2021 to 2026, Kerstin served as Chief Human Resources Officer at NV Bekaert, a global industrial group employing more than 20,000 people. In this role, she led the company’s people strategy in a complex, multinational environment, supporting organizational transformation and long-term performance.
Prior to joining Bekaert, Kerstin spent the majority of her career at Borealis, which she joined in 2007. Over the years, she held several senior leadership positions, including Communication Director and Head of People Development and Reward. In 2016, she was appointed Vice President for HR and Communication and became a member of the company’s Executive Team, further broadening her strategic leadership responsibilities. Earlier in her career, Kerstin also held marketing and communications positions at Daimler AG and Körber AG. She is Vice Chair of the Supervisory Board of ARQET KGaA.
A German native, Kerstin holds a Diploma in East Asian Economics from Gerhard-Mercator-University Duisburg-Essen and a Master’s degree in Strategic HR Management from Zurich University. She has lived and worked in Germany, Austria and Belgium.
