CYTOP® 380 is a useful intermediate for the synthesis of extracting reagents (phosphine oxide and sulfide based) and phosphonium salts, including ionic liquids. In addition it has broad application as a phosphine ligand for homogeneous catalysis. It has also been widely used as a solvent of choice and capping / passivating ligand in the preparation of quantum dots for electronics applications.
