The site employs 400 people across a range of global functions and business units. It is also home to a Research and Innovation Center (RIC Brussels), bringing together 80 researchers with expertise in materials testing and applications.
Working closely with customers, Syensqo's experts develop and evaluate the performance of specialty polymers and composite materials used in the automotive, aerospace and energy sectors.
This expertise is also used to develop materials for the next generation of hydrogen storage tanks for transport.
As one of the specialists in the field of transport electrification (e-mobility), RIC Brussels is supporting new-generation solid-state batteries, in partnership with Axens, through Argylium.
