We are looking for:
We are seeking an HSE Engineer to play a critical role in safeguarding the health and safety of our people and ensuring environmental compliance across site operations. You will support and continuously improve our HSE Management Systems in line with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and Syensqo Life Saving Rules.
In this role, you will develop, implement, and sustain HSE programs that reflect Syensqo’s commitment to sustainability, innovation, and operational excellence. You will also act as the Site HSE Representative and lead Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) initiatives—helping us pursue breakthroughs that advance humanity while protecting people and the planet.

Deploy Group and site HSE policies, programs, and tools
Drive continuous improvement in site HSE performance
Ensure compliance with policies, standards, and legislation
Provide HSE expertise and support to the site organization
Reporting and HSE Management System coordination
Engage with authorities and external stakeholders
Documentation and records management
Support and knowledge-sharing across the organization

You will bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety (or related field); Chemical Engineering preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in HSE roles, ideally in the chemical or materials industry.
Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and management systems (e.g., ISO 45001 / ISO 14001).
Proven experience leading PHA sessions and acting as a site-level HSE representative.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive environment.
HSE certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is a plus.
