We are looking for: The Materials & Testing Laboratory at Syensqo’s Wrexham site is looking to recruit two Engineering Apprentices to join our team. These apprenticeship roles are intended for individuals who want to develop practical engineering skills in a technical laboratory and machine-shop environment. The roles will focus mainly on the preparation of composite panels and test specimens used to support materials testing activities. The apprentices will be based within the Wrexham Materials & Testing Laboratory and will work under the supervision of experienced technicians and engineers. The successful candidates will learn how composite test panels are prepared, fabricated, machined, and converted into test coupons for evaluation. As their skills and experience develop, they may also observe and support selected testing activities, but the main focus of the apprenticeship will be hands-on practical work, safe equipment use, and good laboratory and workshop practice. No previous industrial experience is required. Training will be provided, and the roles would suit candidates with an interest in engineering, materials, machining, workshop practice, and composite technologies. We count on you for:

Annual base salary reasonably expected to be paid for this new hire is GBP 17400 on year 1 and up to GBP 27400 on last year
