We are looking for:
We count on you to:
Operate laboratory and pre-pilot scale reactors to support resin development and scale-up activities.
Prepare and charge raw materials according to experimental procedures.
Monitor and control reaction conditions including temperature, agitation, pressure, vacuum, and feed rates.
Execute polymer synthesis and process development experiments.
Support scale-up of resin processes from laboratory to pilot-scale manufacturing.
Evaluate and qualify new and alternative raw materials.
Prepare and submit samples for analytical, physical, and performance testing.
Analyze testing results and correlate performance with process conditions and raw material characteristics.
Troubleshoot reactor, process, and equipment issues.
Maintain accurate laboratory records and technical reports.
Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to support commercialization and continuous improvement efforts.
Support safe operation of laboratory and pre-pilot facilities.
You will bring:
BS or MS in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Chemistry, or related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of industrial experience in polymer, resin, coatings, adhesives, composites, or specialty chemical development.
Experience operating laboratory or pilot-scale reactors.
Knowledge of polymerization reactions and reaction mechanisms.
Understanding of heat transfer, mixing, agitation, and scale-up fundamentals.
Strong troubleshooting and experimental problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Chemical Engineering degree strongly preferred.
Experience supporting pilot plant operations.
Familiarity with reactor mechanical systems including agitators, vacuum systems, condensers, pumps, and heat transfer equipment.
Experience with raw material qualification programs and supplier evaluations.
Knowledge of design of experiments (DOE) and statistical analysis techniques.
Experience operating and troubleshooting jacketed reactors, agitator systems, condensers, vacuum systems, and other pilot-scale process equipment.

The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $67,000-$77,000 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
