We are looking for:
The Key Account Manager (KAM) will be responsible for the overall growth and strategic development of key account(s). The KAM, based in North America, coordinates all communication and oversees all short term projects and long term strategic priorities for the account(s).
The KAM is responsible for managing an existing base & developing new business. This includes gathering business information, developing commercial tactical plans, and executing these plans in order to generate expanded growth for the company.
We can count on you to:
- Build and maintain strong relationships through proactive communication and regular visits to discuss existing business & commercial opportunities in targeted applications.
- Grow Sales/ICM and deliver budget delivery
- Act as a key contact point for customers and educate them on products, applications, and trends.
- Achieve KPI objectives according to global marketing & pricing strategy, as well as commercial guidelines
- Design and update the Key Account Plan (KAP) as needed
- Drive innovation and facilitate product launches
- Maintain and continuously improve knowledge about products, applications and markets in the industry
- Develop, negotiate, and monitor contracts and pricing for new & existing business opportunities
- Evaluate and propose innovative solutions for customer problems and coordinate with internal resources (R&I, etc.) when needed to meet customer requests/demands and ensure issues are resolved
You will bring:
- BS/BA preferred in a chemical or associated field
- MBA a plus
- 8 or more years of experience in the Home & Personal Care Market . 10+ years preferred
- Strong Hunter mentality
- Strong track record of growing business while managing and growing large, complex accounts
- Ability to educate customers/colleagues both on the technical and commercial aspect of our portfolio and communicate in a succinct and compelling way
- Excellent initiative, autonomy and enthusiasm
- Demonstrated track record of successful sales/negotiations, key account management/business development and internal/external relationships at multiple levels within the organization.
- Strong desire to share knowledge
- Ability to influence and forge strong relationships with impact at any level in the customer organization or in the Global Business Unit
- Experience and ability to work in a global matrix
- Technical knowledge of formulation, surfactants and polymers
- Excellent project coordination and team building skills
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions under minimum supervision; occasionally makes decisions of a complex nature within operating guidelines

- The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $127,680 - $159,600 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
