We are looking for:
An Analytical Chemist for our Havre de Grace, MD site.
 
We can count on you to:
  • Perform and maintain the following procedures relevant to calibration and verification for: FTIR, HPLC, DSC, GC, Titrator, Particle Size Analyzer, SMART 5 moisture analyzer, and other equipment as required. 
  • Maintain records calibration and maintenance for analytical equipment
  • Work with outside resources on instrumentation repair/replacement quotes, installation and service contracts.
  • Support In-process, final, and R&I laboratories.  This would include as a backup to analytical laboratory technicians. Keeping the analytical laboratories stocked with suppliers. Support extends to aiding plant investigations.
  • Purchasing lab supplies as needed
  • Support Non-Conformances and Customer Complaint investigation and reports
  • Generate and revise raw material specifications, support shelf life management, and support supplier quality role when interfacing with suppliers.

You will bring:
  • Bachelor’s level degree in an engineering field of discipline
  • Minimum 5 years’ of relevant work experience in Manufacturing
  • 3 + years of experience in laboratory setting
  • Project management
  • Experience using six-sigma tools, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and  chemical and/or mechanical testing
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BS Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt
  • Experience in aerospace chemicals, coatings, plastics, adhesives or composites  industries
  • Experience working in a unionized environment
 
You will get:
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $88,000 - 110,000 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
