Partnership with Genesis Medical Plastics delivers Eviva® PSU in stock shapes for precision-machined parts and prototypes

Syensqo today announced the launch of Eviva® PSU (polysulfone) machinable stock shapes, designed to accelerate the development of implantable medical devices.

Through this partnership with medical polymer conversion specialists Genesis Medical Plastics, Eviva® PSU rod is now available in a range of standard diameters from inventory, providing device manufacturers with fast access to material for machined prototypes and production parts. Machinable plate is also available on a custom basis. These new Eviva® PSU forms help shorten prototyping and development timelines, accelerate validation and enable faster design modifications.

Eviva® PSU stock shapes combine implant-grade performance with the practicality of ready-to-machine materials. They offer transparency for intra-operative visibility, radiolucency for artifact-free medical imaging, and thermal and electrical insulation to support advanced device performance, while maintaining lightweight strength and toughness. With a bone-like modulus and weldability for secure assemblies, Eviva® PSU stock shapes are well suited for non-load-bearing implant applications across cardiovascular, neurovascular, drug-delivery, craniomaxillofacial and dental segments.

By offering Eviva® PSU in ready-to-machine stock shapes, we are removing barriers early in the design and scale-up process. This  enables engineers to quickly machine parts, validate fit and performance, and move forward with confidence, without compromising on the properties that matter most in implantable devices.
