Syensqo publishes its first Impact Report, demonstrating progress across sustainability and its portfolio of solutions

One Planet roadmap drives performance, resilience and value creation

Syensqo today announces the publication of its Impact Report, covering 2024 and 2025, its first two years as an independent company. The report highlights the delivery of its One Planet roadmap as well as its position as a key enabler of industrial transformation, combining high-performance materials with sustainability to meet evolving customer and market demands.

Syensqo’s progress is underpinned by strong, measurable results:

• 65% of net sales, representing about €4 billion sales, and 89% of the innovation pipeline driven by sustainable solutions^1,2
• 17% of sales generated from products contributing to the circular economy, representing about €1 billion sales^2,3
• Over half of 2030 GHG emissions reduction targets already achieved across Scopes 1 and 2⁴ and Focus 5 categories of Scope 3⁵
• 80% of global electricity consumption coming from renewable sources, reaching 100% in several key countries, including the USA, China (for industrial sites), Belgium, the Netherlands, Brazil and Thailand
• 26% reduction in freshwater withdrawal at water-stressed sites since 2021⁶
• 51% reduction in recordable safety incidence rate since 2021⁷
• 100% of employees paid a living wage, confirmed one year ahead of target⁸

Syensqo’s products also illustrate how we bring value to our customers through sustainability. 

• In aerospace, Syensqo’s advanced composite materials enable lighter aircraft, with its CYCOM® products up to 45% lighter and five times stronger than the average aluminum, increasing fuel efficiency and lowering GHG emissions⁹.
• Syensqo is also advancing circular materials through its ECHO portfolio, with recycled and bio-based polymers that help reduce the carbon footprint of end products across applications including automotive, consumer goods, electronics and filtration systems.
• In consumer applications, Syensqo is also scaling bio-based and biodegradable materials, with more than 90% of its Beauty Care portfolio derived from bio-based sources.
• In mining, Syensqo’s metal extraction technologies allow customers to recover more than 90% of lithium contained in used electric vehicle batteries⁹.

Syensqo’s first Impact Report complements its Annual Integrated Report 2025, aligned with EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), which is available here.
