CYTOP® 380HP has been used as both a high boiling solvent and capping/passivating ligand in the manufacture of nanoparticles by both batch and continuous processes. It has also been widely utilized to deliver the chalcogen, in the form of trioctylphosphine chalcogenide, for II-VI semiconductor quantum dots such as CdSe and CdTe, and IV-VI nanoparticles, such as PbSe. The main application of these materials is in quantum dot displays.
