Reliability Engineer E&I - Welland, Ontario

We are looking for:

  • Accountable for sites Reliability program with focus on early detection of defects and defect elimination
  • Accountable for asset performance in relation to sites OEE program
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
  • Knowledge of financial resources, tools, and reports
  • Ability to manage and direct capital projects
  • Knowledge of information systems and CMMS

We count on you for:

  • Support Maintenance team on repair planning for critical equipment failures
  • Active involvement in site OEE program and maintaining equipment Bad Actors List
  • Facilitate and participate in reliability related improvement initiatives
  • Conduct root cause failure analysis on major equipment failures and manage improvement action items
  • Perform equipment criticality analysis and ensure adequate spare parts for all critical assets
  • Design preventative/predictive/condition based monitoring program for critical assets
  • Interpret reliability data and provide guidance on failure mitigation/reliability improvement plans
  • Actively engage in capital projects to ensure proper equipment selection and installation
  • Execute projects related to equipment or process changes for improved asset reliability
  • Assist with the design and management of sites Mechanical Integrity program
  • Key member in the development and execution of the shutdown timelines. Ensures that all critical reliability tasks are performed during the shutdowns.

You will bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Instrumentation with P.Eng designation
  • 5+ years of Chemical plant experience or similar industry
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills and detail oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with formalized RCFA, RCM or Equipment Criticality Analysis
  • Experience with CMMS (preferably SAP)
  • Experience with SIS systems
  • Experience with electrically classified areas
  • Planning, problem solving and communication
