Augusto Di Donfrancesco

Augusto Di Donfrancesco, 67, has served as a Director of Syensqo since July 2025. Mr Di Donfrancesco joined Solvay in 1987 and has held key roles in research & innovation, human resources, production, sales, and general management in Europe and South America. In 2010, he became President of the newly created Global Business Unit (GBU) Specialty Polymers, and from 2018 to 2023, served as a member of the Solvay Executive Leadership team as Chief Operations and Transformation Officer, overseeing all operations within the business unit. As GBU President, he unlocked the value of the high-performance polymers activities in less than 10 years, doubling the size of the business through organic growth. He also oversaw the global geographic expansion of the Specialty Polymers activities, notably doubling sales in key Asian markets. While a member of the Solvay Executive Leadership Team, he led Group transformation initiatives to advance Solvay’s GROW strategy and operating model, which simplified the Group structure, accelerated profitable top-line growth, and reinvented operations to create greater value for customers and shareholders.
