Miguel Mantas

Miguel Mantas has been appointed by co-optation as an independent Director, and served as a member of the Nomination and Governance Committee, member of the Talent and Remuneration Committee and member of the Audit and Risk Committee of Syensqo since March 2, 2026. 

He is a seasoned global chemicals executive with four decades of international experience across different chemical sectors, including specialty chemicals, specialty materials and intermediates. As Chief Executive Officer of Allnex from 2016 to 2025, he led  the  company’s  private equity led transformation to become the global leader in industrial coating resins, significantly growing revenues and successfully overseeing its sale to PTT Global Chemicals. Previously, he co-led OXEA through its carve-out from Celanese in 2007 and subsequent private equity ownership, driving portfolio transformation and international expansion. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at Celanese and Hoechst, based in Europe, Asia and Latin America. He currently serves on the boards of Bondalti, Caldic and Roehm and acts as Operating Partner at Advent International.
