Market Applications

Reactsurf® is an easy-to-incorporate emulsifying agent designed to facilitate more robust paints, coatings, and PSAs. Adhesives and coatings applied to exterior surfaces are continuously exposed to demanding conditions, which causes them to be prone to surfactant leaching, adversely affecting end-product durability and aesthetics. Common uses of Reactsurf® include PSAs, to improve the water-whitening resistance properties of clear labels, and exterior coatings, to prevent surfactant leaching, dirt pick-up, and corrosion.  

Reactsurf® Product Line

Our family of Reactsurf® reactive emulsifiers includes Reactsurf® 2490, a polymerizable surfactant, and Reactsurf® 0092, an epoxy cross-linkable emulsifier. Reactsurf® 2490 is an alkylphenol ethoxylate-free (APEO-free) polymerizable surfactant, designed as a primary emulsifier for acrylic, vinyl-acrylic, and styrene-acrylic latex systems. Reactsurf® 0092 is an easy-to-use surfactant formulated specifically to convert a solid epoxy resin into an emulsion, resulting in a high-performance water-based epoxy system.
