Alpharetta is the beating heart of Syensqo’s U.S. operations. The site has a decades-long legacy serving diverse end markets and activities across our specialty polymers and composite materials product portfolios. It’s where materials meet missions. The site focuses on innovating advanced materials for automotive, aerospace, electronics, healthcare, and battery applications. Alpharetta is part of Syensqo’s global network of customer innovation laboratories. Thanks to our integrated labs and pilot plants, customers can walk in with a challenge and walk out with a solution.

R&I Technology & Applications Center

Bristol is a critical research center for Syensqo’s Performance & Care segment, supporting the Novecare global business unit. It’s where ideas become smarter, safer, more sustainable solutions supporting the home & beauty care, agrochemicals, coatings and industrial markets. The site houses synthesis, process, analytical, microbiology, and physico-chemical laboratories, enabling comprehensive research and development activities.

Syensqo’s Cambridge site, sometimes referred to as the Boston lab, is at the forefront of our biotechnology research. While beauty and personal care are key focus areas, the lab also contributes to the development of renewable solutions in industrial and materials applications. The center plays a crucial role in expanding our specialty offerings and advancing sustainable solutions.

R&I Center for Mining Solutions & Polymer Additives

Stamford is home to Syensqo’s expertise in polymer additives and mining chemistry. It’s where our team develops solutions that enhance the durability and sustainability of plastics used in an array of end markets. It’s also where Syensqo develops innovative reagent chemicals for the mining industry, with a focus on flotation, solvent extraction, alumina processing, and industrial minerals beneficiation. With a legacy stretching back nearly 100 years through our predecessor companies, the Stamford site continues to help customers extend product life, boost performance, and support sustainability goals across the industries it serves.

- Syensqo’s specialty polymers offer exceptional performance through heat resistance, chemical inertness, lightweighting, and biocompatibility, and are integral to the development of medical devices, fuel-efficient aircraft, mobile electronics, sustainable packaging, and electric vehicles.
- In mining, Syensqo’s extractant technologies support growing demand for metals in electronics, automotive, and other markets, while enabling the recycling of valuable metals from end-of-life vehicle batteries.
- In beauty care, Syensqo introduced Cerafy™, a range of biomimetic natural ceramides, and expanded its capabilities in natural ingredients and advanced biosolutions through new partnerships and innovations.
- In biotechnology, Syensqo combines chemistry and biology to convert renewable feedstocks into solutions that reduce reliance on non-renewable resources, promote circularity, and minimize environmental impact.
- Launch of Climate Impulse, a project to achieve the first non-stop flight around the world in a zero-emission hydrogen-powered airplane in 2028.
- Launch of syensqo.ai, expansion of our AI tools, and partnership with Microsoft to accelerate research & innovation, and enhance employee productivity.
