BPS240

Syensqo's BPS240 body panel systems have been developed specifically to meet the needs of the automotive industry for supercar applications.

Syensqo's BPS240 body panel systems have been developed specifically to meet the needs of the automotive industry for supercar applications. BPS240 format 1 is a two-ply, partially impregnated epoxy prepreg system designed for the manufacture of car body panels. This system offers excellent surface quality from vacuum only processing at cure temperatures between 85 and 150°C (185°F and 300°F). It is a leading body panel system for vacuum bagging processing. The first ply utilises Syensqo's ZPREG® partial impregnation technology, consisting of a structural fabric coupled to a surface scrim and a high performance resin system. The second ply combines low density syntactic core material and structural fabric to create significant panel rigidity in a rapid laminating format.

BPS240 format 1:

  • Has been formulated to be ready for painting without abrading or reworking; in many instances, paint can usually be applied directly to a degreased panel.
  • Offers excellent environmental performance to panels painted in hi-bake and lo-bake paint systems.

BPS240 format 2 is a three-part system designed for the manufacture of car body panels. This system offers excellent surface quality at cure temperatures between 85 to 150°C (185 to 302°F). The unique 3 ply composition of this body panel system makes it a market leader for the quality of its surface finish. The first ply utilises Syensqo's VTF266 sandable, paint-ready surface film. The second ply, which is made up of 400g/m2 of Syensqo's DForm® prepreg, provides fast lay-up and low print through. The third ply combines low-density syntactic core material and structural fabric to create significant panel rigidity in a rapid laminating format.

BPS240 format 2:

  • Offers excellent environmental performance to panels painted in hi-bake and lo-bake paint systems.
